The festive season of Christmas has always witnessed more Hollywood blockbusters than any other time of year. In these days of celebration, you will stumble upon a hell lot of movies in the big screens; of which only a handful of them satisfy the viewers. These are movies which not only portray Christmas, but also define the ecstasy of this great festival. Here I’ve crafted a list of ten beautiful movies you should enjoy watching this Christmas! (I’ve also included the movie trailer with each of them so that you can take a peep before you leap).

1. A Christmas Story

A Christmas Story is the story of Ralphie in his mission to persuade his teachers, a Santa and his parents that a gun is a perfect gift for the 1940s.

Ralphie (Adult): [after BB gun hits his face after bouncing off the target, he narrates] Oh my god, I shot my eye out!

This movie plays all day long in TNT on 25th of December and you shouldn’t miss it.

2. The Snowman

Based on an award winning children’s novel by Raymond Briggs, The Snowman is one small and sweet animated movie. It is the story of a boy who makes a snowman in a Christmas eve. Watch it, it will melt your heart.

3. Love Actually

 Judy: All I want for Christmas is you.

Love Actually is a 2003 romance genre movie which tells the story of a eight different couples of completely different lifestyles.

4. A Muppet Christmas Carol

Vegetables: If he became a flavor you can bet he would be sour. Yuck!
Muppet Man: Even the vegetables don’t like him!

5. It’s A Wonderful Life

 Uncle Billy: After all, Potter, some people like George HAD to stay at home. Not every heel was in Germany and Japan.

6. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

Arguably one of the best Christmas movies, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation tells the story of The Griswolds’ plans for a great family Christmas celebrations, which turn into the greatest disaster. Must watch if you haven’t yet.

7. Home Alone

A very popular movie series which do not needs a description. Quite an entertainer.

 Kevin McCallister: This is my house, I have to defend it.

8. Gremlins

One of my personal favorites. Though I do expect many people to love this movie as I do, its humor is really worth appreciating.

9. Elf

The Ferrell humor adds all fun to this movie and it is quite an enjoyable movie to sit and watch with your family this Christmas.

10. Miracle On 34 Street

A wondrous series of incidents turns a sardonic kid into Father Santa’s biggest fan. Of course, the movie starts with telling the tale of a little girl who does not care to believe in Santa. This sure is a beautiful festive film to watch every Christmas.
